A non-selective, non-denominational, co-educational primary free school, Braywick Court School welcomes children from all backgrounds. Braywick Court School opened in September 2014 with a Reception class only and grew organically each year to reach its capacity of 210 pupils. In January 2020 the school expanded to include our Preschool, so that we now offer places from the age of 2-11 years. The school is situated within the Braywick Nature Reserve and serves the communities of Bray, Holyport and Maidenhead.
Braywick Court School is part of Bellevue Place Education Trust, a growing family of 10 schools across London and Berkshire.
Our belief is that children learn best when they are happy and excited by what’s happening in the classroom. Our aim is to instil a love of learning in our pupils and provide a solid foundation to build on, in the transition to secondary education and beyond. We provide an ambitious, coherent and rich curriculum which gives every pupil the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in life. Our curriculum is intended to nurture and enhance the individuality of each child. We enable our pupils to become confident and independent learners with a passion to succeed and a curiosity for the world around them.
Our Headteacher, Mrs Michelle Robertson, has over 19 years experience within the Primary Sector. She has been part of Braywick Court School for the past 6 years and has a particular passion for creative curriculum design. Mrs Robertson achieved the National Professional Qualification for Headship in 2019 and since then has been a guest facilitator for Best Practice Network, delivering National Professional Qualifications to school leaders across the South East. As an avid reader, her love of books is clear to see when you visit the school and she can often be found with a book in hand leading a story session in class. Mrs Robertson’s favourite part of school life are leading our weekly singing assemblies and joining in with Friday afternoon playground discos!
