We are delighted to announce that we have appointed our Headteacher Designate. Gemma Donnelly will be joining Braywick Court School in April 2014 from The Ridgeway Primary School, Reading, where she is currently Acting Deputy Headteacher.
“I feel privileged to be the Headteacher of Braywick Court School. I have lived around The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead all my life and am keen that the strong sense of community which is felt in the local area should be reflected in our school.”
During Gemma’s 10 years’ experience at a number of primary schools within the Home Counties, her teaching has been judged to be ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and she has helped schools improve their Ofsted rating and the standard of education offered to the children. Gemma is also a primary curriculum consultant for Reading Local Authority and runs a private tuition company. In addition to her degree in Primary Education, Gemma has recently completed her Masters degree in Education.
“Braywick Court School will be a school in the community, for the community, welcoming children of all abilities and backgrounds. Braywick Court’s children will develop into independent learners who are motivated to achieve highly through a fun and exciting curriculum. Each child will be treated as an individual and will be celebrated for their own unique skills and talents. We will use the school’s fabulous location for as much outdoor learning as possible and will also provide the children with the best and most up-to-date ICT resources.
“I am passionate about working together with parents and families and want you all to feel part of our school community. I look forward to meeting each of you in person.”
We look forward to introducing Gemma to our prospective parents/carers and pupils at our Open Events.
