We are delighted to announce Braywick Court School’s Founding Headteacher.
Mrs Sue Kemp is currently in charge of Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 at the highly regarded Gateway School, a co-educational, independent school for ages 2-11 in Great Missenden. In the five years that Sue has held this position, she has helped the school move from ISI Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ to ‘Outstanding’. Sue’s wealth of experience in her teaching career spans the 2-16 age range, from Buckinghamshire to Papua New Guinea. Sue also acts as Deputy Child Protection Officer at Gateway School.
Sue will see Braywick Court School through its pre-opening stages until an outstanding Headteacher Designate is recruited to take the school forward. Her role will be an advisory one and will include providing the Trust with strategic direction and advice, liaising with the Department for Education, formulating policies and overseeing the recruitment of staff.
Sue said: “At Braywick Court we will grow a school grounded in local community, where each child is known and valued as an individual. The school will benefit from high quality teaching and leadership, excellent resourcing and a rich and diverse curriculum, sparking children’s natural curiosity, instilling a love of learning, giving them the confidence to ask questions; to know not just ‘what’, but ‘how’ and ‘why’.”
Sue will oversee the recruitment process for the school’s Headteacher Designate over the next few weeks, with a view to the successful candidate starting in post in April 2014.
